I will be generous and allow the UN to pay their water bills.

*******

Maybe the UN will send troops to Detroit to turn on the water.

If you turn on the faucet at home and water comes out and you don’t pay for it, that means someone else paid for it.
I’ve seen the photos of Detroit. There’s plenty of cleanup work there. There’s nothing that says that a backhoe can’t be replaced by forty people with picks and shovels.

One Clinton speech could settle most of these debts and help a lot of poor people get water.

Lake St. Clair or Detroit River + bucket = water

Exactly. Fire up the Escalade, cruise on over to Belle Isle and take your bucket to the nice level beach. Floating perch might be a bonus.

You can have a cellphone VERY cheaply if you exercise restraint in calling.
I bought a Tracfone with 660 minutes and 150 days service for $20.That is enough for emergencies (911 calls are not charged)and some ordinary calls.Internet access is free at most libraries, and many places have wi-fi.With a T-mobile smartphone you can have unlimited internet and texting and 100 minutes of talk each month for $30.

I know working and retired persons who dropped the home phone to cut expenses.

No satellite,no cable.

Then again, I know a disabled fellow who can hardly keep food after rent, satellite TV,landline with internet, electricity, water, and doctor prescribed painkillers to which he is addicted.

From personal experience I know too many doctors are willing, even eager, to prescribe drugs beyond what a patient needs to cope with pain.It is little wonder so many are addicted to narcotics.

Among bad choices are placing unthinking trust in doctors and government.

Gotta feeling if those were light skinned folks...the UN and liberal media could care less about unpaid water bills and water shut off

You won’t get a private company to take over a mess like Detroit’s water utility, and, most prvitized water utilities are a bigger mess than municipal. The private company also has to make a profit...which will be included in the bill

Better yet....Detroit should get some military sanitation engineers and teach the folks how to build a latrine pit. Outhouses don’t need much water
