Radio presenter Michael Smith dumped after comments about the Prophet Mohammed,” ABC News Australia, June 29, 2014 Sydney talkback radio host Michael Smith has been told he will no longer be filling in on 2GB after making controversial comments about the Prophet Mohammed.

The former 2UE presenter made the comments on Thursday during his regular guest spot with 2GB host Ben Fordham. Smith was discussing the recent controversy over a talk the Festival of Dangerous Ideas had booked – and later cancelled – with a Muslim activist, titled Honour Killings Are Morally Justified.

He compared the festival’s invitation to Uthman Badar to asking the leader of the Ku Klux Klan to speak. Smith said the founder of Islam was “a man who promoted the idea that it was OK to marry a six-year-old and consummate the marriage when the little girl was nine”.

The broadcaster had been due to fill in for afternoons presenter, Chris Smith, from Monday for three weeks. On Saturday he wrote on his website that 2GB program director David Kidd had called and cancelled the booking, telling him he could not “call a deity a paedophile”.

So it’s not about truth anymore? What will you put in its place? John 8:32.

Mohammad is a diety? I thought he was a prophet ... and a pedophile.

We are not allowed to criticize Islam or Mohammed.

We can criticize Jesus and Christianity and Judaism.

But we can only criticize Judeo-Christian figures or religion. Those are the liberal rules for these issues. It would be disrespectful to criticize someone’s religion, but that rule only applies to Islam and the various eastern religions.

A rapist, a murderer, a thief, a highway robber, a kidnapper, a slave trader, a war criminal, a religious charlatan, a delusionary, and an anti-Catholic.

telling him he could not “call a deity a paedophile”.

To hear Islamic defenders say it, they don't believe Mohammed was a deity.

So which is it, DO they worship Mohammed as a god or not?

Is it improper to call a Hindu diety a "murderer"?

Did the Greeks or Romans have any deities who lusted after children?

Pedophile yes. Prophet, no. There are no prophecies in the Koran. The book and the “prophet” are phony.

It’s worse. we are not even allowed to recite the muslim’s own hadith’s that state that he married Aisha when she was six and “consummated” the marriage at nine. What I find effective is to NOT call Mohammed a pedophile but simply post on a public forum what Mohammed did and allow everyone to draw their own conclusions.

As we saw in this case — liberals are extremely uncomfortable when someone simply recites passages and facts of what Mohammed did because the facts get in the way of the false narrative they wish to believe

2GB program director David Kidd had called and cancelled the booking, telling him he could not “call a deity a paedophile”.Kidd is probably not a Muslim. More likely he's a standard-issue liberal idiot.

Thus his reference to Mo as a deity is an illustration of his idiocy. Tells us nothing about Islam.

Did the Greeks or Romans have any deities who lusted after children?

You betcha, depending on how you define "children." The most notable is probably the myth of Zeus' love for Ganymede, a "youth" who is abducted to Olympus for Zeus to enjoy. Probably refers to a pubescent/adolescent male, not a little boy.

The proper term is "ephebophile," not pedophile.

There are probably Greek myths about gods and very young girls, but they're probably still pubescent.

Interesting table of “age of consent” laws in history. Most American states in 1880, the age was either 10 or 12. In DE it was 7!

IOW, the American horror of pedophilia, which I completely agree with, BTW, is pretty recent historically speaking.

Mohammed’s wife lost her virginity to him before the age of 10. Muslims point out that he WAITED A COUPLE OF YEARS...

They say that his enslaving the women and children left homeless by his invasions was also compassionate, otherwise they might have had to turn to prostitution.

And his followers say that the master should have sex with the slaves to show them he loves them.
