it is not just Italy, it is much of Europe
and
it is not just the economy, it is your future
that is being sold down the river of IslamoNazism

(same for USA under its current regime, just taking a little longer due to size and distance...but the sellout is rapidly underway)

Excellent work, Enza. I spent a month in Italy 18 years ago, felt perfectly safe as a single woman, though I did encounter some frightening “immigrants” from North Africa selling trinkets on the street in Rome. Big men with resentful eyes. I wonder how many of those men learned Italian, got jobs, are contributing to the economy today.

We have the ‘Left’ calling upon us to show “COMPASSION” as if it is a cost-free, consequence-free course of action. They call on us to remember the benefits that came from the uncontrolled immigration into the U.S. in the preceding centuries. And besides, now it is THE CHILDREN! It is happening wherever it is possible for the poor of a region to migrate to a better land and now we have the institutionalized compassion of supra-government bureaucrats and elites who have no problem with the seekers (so long as they do the lawns and toilets and then leave the neighborhood!)

If countries lose control of their borders, then for them the trend is to the lower common level. Unemployment increases while social welfare costs increase, both of which BENEFIT the bureaucrats and statists in each destination country. On the other hand the origin countries reduce their underclass (potential revolting class) and gain from “money mailed home”!
