People from the Caribbean and from Africa (except Somalia) are some of the most industrious people I know. They don’t see things through the racist prism, and they SUCCEED in the USA

A very upright Bahamian was assigned to our office for training. He complained that big-box store employees always approached him with "Can we help you find something?" (Employees were watching for shoplifters).
I'd kid him about going to Sears with me, so that I could get some help right-away. It's been 20 years, but I still get a grin at the remembrance.
