I often find myself questioning the parables.

This one for example - what about the "good seed" that was choked and even destroyed by the "weeds?"

Surely the Lord knows which are weeds and which are weeds, yet He allows the weeds to prosper and the wheat to be killed?

"Free Will" is nice, but not if you're a victim of some evildoer's Free Will.

If you die at the hand of evil while doing good, you are redeemed, like a martyr. The Homilist this Sunday mentioned that we are not to destroy the evil, that is for God in His place and time. Then he mentioned if Paul would have been killed before he killed St Stephen. Where would Christianity be?

I still contend, if my life or especially my family's life was in danger, I would neutralize the threat to the best of my ability.
