With the one year anniversary of the George Zimmerman trial having just passed recently, some people fear these tensions could erupt into riots in major cities.

Not many people fear that. Very, very few indeed. It would be much more likely if Trayvon Martin had actually had his civil rights violated in any way. They were not.

The court system, and the vast majority of the nation as a whole, now know that Trayvon Martin was, unfortunately for himself and Al Sharpton, an aspiring thug, as opposed to a victim of racism.

Even the black civil rights community knows this in their heart of hearts, which is exactly why there won't ever be any riots about this verdict.

The backlash which would result from such ill-advised foolishness would set the black civil rights movement back another 10 or 20 years.

The race-baiters, such as Sharpton and his ilk, severely overplayed their hand in this instance, and they were exposed as disingenuous charlatans to anyone with even a shred of objectivity or common sense.

SYG? Seriously? Did these folks even follow the trial? SYG was never invoked as a defense.

The trial is over, and the system has spoken. Zimmerman was found not guilty under Florida law. It’s time for everyone to move on

Don’t have to worry about “Trayvon Riots” on the Gulf Coast of MS - not because the Blacks are so scairt of the evil Whites, but because they are more in tune with working and real life issues than those in many other areas. Saw many carrying Romney/Ryan yard signs at a fair before the last election. I know some on FR think that’s a bad thing, but you get what you ask for...
