I think you need to read this and understand that while, yes, the current pope and USCCB have had a far-left bent for decades, most bishops and popes do not share their love of socialism. Many, such as Chaput and Aquilla, vocally oppose socialism.

I get upset when certain FReepers mischaracterize my Church because of the (comparatively) recent actions of bad people. It would be equally wrong to say that America's founding concepts, popular beliefs, and history favor Socialism because Harry Reid and Barack Obama have been elected to positions of power.
