Why would G-d need a laser?
There are some details that make the story sound incorrect - minutes would give time for more attempts, for example. However, I do not discount the Hand of G-d.

Why would G-d need a laser? Because they're cool. He probably has a 1966 Shelby Cobra, too, and for the same reason!

Near the beginning of the post is this: ...ROUGHLY paraphrasing into English...
So I can see how “seconds” could become “minutes”.
Even if this story turned out to be bogus, my faith in Him remains unshaken. He can and does perform miracles all of the time.
