Seems the lake freezes pretty good in winter, and some house movers were taking a house across the frozen lake. The ice gave way and the house fell through!

Sounds like something they would try to do up there. Since I was a child (I am in my early 50s) I have seen some stupid things attempted, the old "Hold my beer" moments.

I know stupidity is everywhere but I swear I've seen more there than anywhere else I have traveled or lived.

Roof leaking? No problem...cover the roof with blue tarps...held in place by bundles of new shingles. Then forget about it until it starts leaking again, then buy new tarps.

After all...it’s either hunting or fishing season. Typical jackpine savage thinking.
