The so-called "Great Depression" was a necessary correction and would have resolved itself in due time had Hoover not caved and started a program of needless public works projects. Because Herbert Hoover was, in many ways, a RINO, he veered off course and attempted to meddle with the free market.

Although Hoover had his faults, the disastrous policies of Franklin Diablo Roosevelt and his so-called "Brain" Trust only served to prolong the depression by nearly a decade. Those who were the closet advisors to FDR were out-and-out America-hating communists such as Henry Wallace, Harry Hopkins and Frances Perkins.

And don’t forget Alger Hiss and Harry Dexter White.

The FDR-HST Administrations we loaded to the gills with Commies.

The same can be said of our recent “Great Recession”. Dubya and Obama’s meddling has prolonged and worsened what would have otherwise been an unpleasant, but short, correction.

Your post sounds almost like a book review for Amity Shlaes’ great book “The Forgotten Man”. If you haven’t already read it, you should. It backs up all your points and more.
