You may want to hit the history books about St. Cyril. Christians used to do the same thing. Makes one wonder why they stopped.
It was the Knights Templar who didn’t leave the field was over until the battle was over or the knight died. There was a time when they feared us.
Christians didn’t do the same things. The fights between Cyril of Alexandria and the various factions - which ranged from heretical Christian groups led by individuals to different and often competing Roman civil authorities to Jewish adherents of the several factions or their leaders - were basically chaos, with one band or another attacking the most vulnerable. It certainly wasn’t a Christian thing and had no Christian justification, and most of the attacks didn’t even really pretend to be so, but were between followers of one or another of the parties in these wars at the end of the (Roman) Empire.
That’s different from a religion that makes violence and death a fundamental tenet.
