Nurses in America say they are unprepared to deal with Ebola patients arriving from abroad as a growing sense of panic sweeps the US.
The warning comes after it emerged Thomas Eric Duncan, the country's first case, had told health workers he had recently been in Liberia yet was still sent home from a hospital in Texas with nothing more than painkillers and antibiotics.
However, health officials insist that American hospitals are ready for such patients and on Friday White House advisers tried to reassure the nation that an outbreak was extremely unlikely.
Lisa Monaco, Barack Obama's senior counter-terrorism adviser, said: "The United States is prepared to deal with this crisis, both at home and in the region.
"Every Ebola outbreak in the past 40 years has been stopped. We know how to do this and we will do it again."(continued)

You have pointed to the necessity of a early warning test for Ebola before it progresses to the transmission stage. People need to be quarantined before they become a danger. This test should be administered for passengers on international flights.
For those eating animals infected by the local bat feces, that practice has to stop. This virus will never be eradicated due to its transmission to animals by bats. However, humans must find a method to avoid bat infested meat so that they avoid the contagion it brings.

It doesn’t matter... I have declared a “Public Health Emergency” in the areas under my control.
You bet they do...They need proper guidance.
There was a time, for along duration, that we did not get news of a breaking nature for days. In the case of over seas news it was AT LEAST A WEEK.
What that did for us, was to allow the previous news to settle, and to sort it's self out. So we did not go though these gyrations like a break dancer on steroids. Slow it down..... take it all with a grain of salt, as was the saying.. The truth of it will eventually emerge.... Please, it's important that you do this. If you don't, you will be in a constant state of flux.
