we are not on the same page because I’m able to look at each situation and look at their opponent and make a rational decision. You on the other hand have your knee jerk formulas - when there are vast differences between what is possible in Cali and New Hampshire versus what’s possible in Georgia or South Carolina.

Just seems like some of this election stuff is hard for you to grasp.

Let me tell you how elections work. Rove is NOT on the ballot. He's NEVER been on the ballot. And good ads are good ads, whether the messenger believes them or not. And in this case, Rove is supporting a candidate on the right side of amnesty with an anti message amnesty. Did I mention Rove is NOT on the ballot. That must've escaped you.

For someone who thinks so highly of themselves with respect to his knowledge of how the political process works, you seem to be missing one salient point, while Rove isn't on the ballot, he is spending millions of dollars in an attempt to destroy the Tea-Party candidates, A.K.A. Real Conservatives, in addition to, pushing for Amnesty for his Cronies, the Chamber of Commerce every place he can.

I realize that, but in this case HE IS NOT DOING THAT - HE IS FUNDING ANTI AMNESTY MESSAGES FOR AN ANTI AMNESTY CANDIDATE. Sheesh, just go enjoy your maturbatory Rove loathing - and leave the analysis to the rational.

I agree. Frankly, the more conservative positions we can make the GOP-E hold, the better. We know they are winning positions.

I remember the last time the Republicans held the House, Senate and Presidency.

It wasn’t much to write home about.

They started the massive government spending that broke the bank before GW Bush could get out of office.

==

Republican spending is little different that Democrat spending.

The ole adage: It depends on whose ox is being gored.

Time will tell, and you're right about the past feckless gOpE leadership. But the precarious debt we have now and the clear unsustainability of the present size of government will necessitate a completely different take on federal spending. There are plenty more real conservatives in the Republican Party who weren't there in the 80's to lead the cause.

No matter what happens under a gOpE House, Senate and Presidency (Hope), it will be infinitely better than under a democRAT one. imho

Some people just insist on being miserable, or somehow think there’s some kind of intellectual brilliance by being cynical 100% of the time.

The GOP E makes me legitimately miserable enough - when they do something right, I’m not going to be a one of the bitter old FR codger commando unit.
