These people are STUPID for even allowing Hollywood to film anything in the State. If States would just simply refuse to give Permits to Hollywood Productions, it would not take very long before Hollywood started PAYING STATES TO FILM THERE.

Do filmmakers really need this subsidy to come to Michigan? If they want a post-apocalyptic dystopia, do they have anywhere other than Detroit to go to? Well, maybe Mogadishu, but you don't have Canadian strip clubs just across the river when you film in Somalia.
Of course you have the problem that Robocop's Hollywood "armor" won't stop any actually Detroit bullets.
