A few months ago, I thought it was a foregone conclusion that Hillary was running. Lately, however, I'm not so sure. There was the lackluster book tour, with a few gaffes (such as the "dead broke" comment) along the way. Not a single Democratic candidate that Hillary campaigned for this year was able to win. I suspect that many Democrats see her as someone whose best days are behind her. Those Democrats looking for a "historic" woman candidate now have an alternative in Elizabeth Warren. As a result, Hillary is faced with a tough choice. On the one hand, her enormous ego is still telling her she's entitled to the presidency. On the other hand, she can't bear the thought of running for the nomination a second time, only to be rejected by her own party yet again.
So far Hillary has been able to keep other big name Democrats from jumping in by keeping the media repeating the mantra that it is inevitable that Hillary will get the nomination and be elected President in 2016. But now, even the most cool-aid drinking Democrats are starting to question, why would anyone actually want to vote for her?
Rumor has it the Clintons were so toxic on the campaign trail that Chelsea is begging them not to campaign when she starts running for office....
