The news media is the main threat to our freedom and to our economy

Much moreso than Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or any of those others.

The truth doesn’t matter, it’s the narrative.

Either the congressman resigns or the media gets to mention how he spoke before a supremacist group every time he’s even peripherally attached to a story.

For the libs, it’s a perfect win/win scenerio.

Like Scalise or hate him, it is WRONG to paint someone as a racist who is not.

To the “progressive,” the “race card” is supposed to trump all. I love ripping it up and throwing it back in their faces.

Awful, STUPID headline.

“Defile” means to corrupt something that was innocent. I think we can all agree — the “left wing media” has NEVER been innocent.

This is why I no longer watch any cable news. Nothing but scandal, gossip, and innuendo. It’s vulgar and appalling.

LOL! Of course you can’t back your claim and don’t care.
Your fellow GOPe have spoken out though:
http://blogs.rollcall.com/218/steve-scalise-immigration-test/

“”... he assisted in salvaging a $694 million appropriations measure to bolster resources at the U.S.-Mexico border largely by giving in to the demands of the far-right contingent of the GOP conference — including Reps. Steve King of Iowa and Michele Bachmann of Minnesota — rather than bringing down the proverbial hammer.

There’s anxiety among more moderate parts of the party over how Scalise will help hold the conference together to avoid another government shutdown when the chamber reconvenes next month, and how his own desires to win re-election to the whip position in November could factor into how he does his job.

“He has to move a [continuing resolution], and is he going to fight for our legislation or will he try to cater to those who have put our high-profile bills into question every time they come to the floor?” said one aide for a House Republican who consistently votes the party line...

Members and staffers alike told CQ Roll Call that Scalise secured support for the legislation by asking members what they wanted, rather than telling them what they were going to get. It could, they said, create a precedent where the most intransigent members feel empowered.

Some argue that’s already started: King, one of the conference’s perpetually dissatisfied conservatives, crowed over leadership’s decision to put many of his priorities into a final legislative package, including a separate vote to end President Barack Obama’s program granting stays of deportation and work permits to certain immigrants...”

No wonder all you GOPe hate him!

It matters not whether Steve Scalise spoke at David Duke’s event or not. The Southern Poverty Law Center got the message out and the MSM, including FOX ran with it.
Now Scalise is damaged goods and every time his name is mentioned in the MSM there will be an identifier that he spoke at a “White Supremacist” meeting. Mission accomplished.

In my opinion, this is just the first of many such disclosures to come.
To me what is more interesting is, the Democrats have been doing this for thirty or more years and the Republicans still fall for it every time. Back peddle, condemn the “offender”, then call for his resignation.
Mike Reagan at one time called the Republican party, the Stupid Party. Actually they are the Castrated Stupid Party, even now with one of the largest mandates in the past 100 years.
What a start.

It’s been stated, and what was stated is now fact in the minds of the target audience. Nothing will change it, and the MSM will pay no penalty for the crime.

And the point is...?

A politician must speak to anyone who will listen. The fact that he speaks to someone has nothing to do with endorsing the listener’s views.

I would say, “I will readily speak to the KKK in hopes of changing their views. Heck, I’ll even speak to progressives but will hold out less hope.”

Fellow Congressman Cedric Richmond(D-LA), who is black, issued his own statement: "I don't think Steve Scalise has a racist bone in his body," Richmond, who is African American, told the paper. "Steve and I have worked on issues that benefit poor people, black people, white people, Jewish people. I know his character."

I already did.

Scalise whipped votes on the GOPe Crominus bill.
The one Bonehead jammed thru before the new congress was even seated.

Scalise was part of that scam.
