Bless you for giving your mother such good care for so long. I recently had to put my 98 yr. old Dad in a nursing home. I have cared for him in our home for the past ten years. His Alzheimer’s got so bad that I was physically (and mentally) unable to care for him any longer. The monthly cost is rapidly depleting his funds. When that is gone he will have to go on Medicaid. My sister is upset because her inheritance is dwindling and thinks I should still keep him here with us. I just can’t do it any longer. She has been no help at all.
