Not likely, IMHO. First of all, a big part of the democrat/liberal base are Hispanic Catholics and African American protestant Christians. This is an issue over which they would abandon the democrats if they keep towing the ‘Islam is the religion of peace’ line.

I've read of some posters here saying that when they see Muslims here in the USA, they make the sign of the cross and grin at them. What are the muzzies going to do, try to remove those crosses?
