It is a very good piece but has been overplayed to the point that it has become like last year’s pop hit, I’m tired of it.

Orff’s operas (if you can call them that) are very wonderful and unique. Antigonae and Die Bernauerin especially IMHO. The latter really has to be seen as it’s more a theatre piece. There are recent DVD editions of most of his operas but you have to order via Amazon in the UK and have a PAL compatible player.

I believe the first time I ever heard this used in a film was Excaliber; and, that was some time ago.
