We used to be able to spout off without getting destroyed. Just because the dude is a moron doesn’t mean he should be impoverished.

Yeah, I remember those days, too. They're gone. I miss them. Now we play by the new rules, or we die.

Perhaps company after company decided they don’t want someone with such poor judgement, someone who is a loose cannon, working for them.

Remember too, he is seeking executive positions. He is not applying for jobs through the personnel department. More likely, he is having to talk to the board of directors and top management for the types of positions he is seeking. As I understand things, hiring for executive positions is much more subjective than other types of jobs. And there are often employment contracts for such jobs, in which you can be disciplined or terminated for bringing bad publicity to the company. That’s why he got fired from his job in the first place. He violated his contract.

This wasn’t just some guy “spouting off”
He may believe he was protesting Chic fil A but actually he was harassing someone at their place of work. Plus, he was dunb enough to video tape himself doing it.
He got let go at his place of employment for good reason. At the same time made himself virtually unemployable.
He could work somewhere that doesn’t require people skills. He probably has to much “pride” to lower salary.

He wants to spout off? No, he wanted to intimidate a low level employee and he did. She was taken aback, had little to no recourse but to be victimized, since HER job was to accommodate customers and she was doing that.
And then he bragged about what he did. He bragged about intimidating that young lady, who had exactly nothing to do with the Chick Fil A administration.
He bragged about his obnoxious, demeaning behavior. Brat. I spanked my kids for bullying, WHEN THEY WERE SMALL CHILDREN. Trust me Y, he’s not the victim here.
Not only that, but he lived large enough so that when he was in the money to the tune of $200,000 a year and a million in stock options, he wouldn’t save. Too good to be frugal?? Too IM-PO’-TENT eh? And now the taxpayers have to support his family, at least for groceries.

And he’s not impoverished because he spouted off, exactly. He’s impoverished because he showed his employer and prospective employers just what kind of creep he was.

“Spouting off” or as we called it “farting off” is still possible. Verbally abusing a young woman and sharing it with the world goes beyond “spouting off.”

Would you want him in your organization?

Well if he is humbled enough he might seek redemption from his sin. He might save himself.

At this point would you trade places with him on judgment day?

He should apply for a job as Thread Police on FR, he’s got the attitude for it.

We used to be able to spout off without getting destroyed.

When was that?

Unless you were the boss's kid when it became well known that you were a jerk who liked to verbally abuse people for no reason you were often fired and no one in town would hire you.

Nobody wants a jerk without a clue working for them.
