I registered as an independent after Boohoo was reelected speaker.
The GOP has left me.
I’m sure there are many more like me who are conservative and feel we have no party now.
That said, if Cruz gets the nomination or makes it to the primaries, I will be switching to vote for him.
“There is nothing even remotely patriotic or smart about your advice here. People like you gave us a second term of Obama. Damned Idiots!”
It’s the GOP establishment that gave us 2 terms of Obama - by backing lukewarm candidates that turned off conservative voters.
Voting for McAmnesty or Romney would be like voting for Mussolini over Hitler. The lesser of evils is still evil and will still create more fascism, more destruction of this country. It will just happen slower. Which I think is a bad thing - we need the collapse to happen before the older generation that learned about the Founding Fathers and what this country is really about are gone.
There. Fixed it for him.
... he has been more outspoken and more extreme in his conservatism than other candidates."
Example, please! What does she mean by "extreme in his conservatism" -- that he wants the states to determine gay marriage at most ... or seeks the total repeal of Obamacare?
... its the middle-of-the-road voters that politicians need to be worrying about more and more these days. According to a Gallup poll published earlier this year, Americans are identifying as Independents in record numbers, hitting 42 percent in January and remaining the highest reported alignment on average ...
Ms. Mitchell, why do you assume that these "independents" are "middle of the road"? Middle of what road, big government Democrats, or big government Republicans? The Uniparty takes up the whole road, is that it?
These independents have a side -- less government. That's what they want, an alternative to Republican and Democrat that are both basically the same thing. They don't land down on the "social conservative" side because they don't care about using government to promote Christian values. They don't land down on the Democrat side, because the Democrats care about using government as a nanny. They don't fall on the Republican side because Republicans advocate for just different kind of nanny government.
They're definitely on one side of the road, all right. They're on the side that says, "get rid of this government tyranny of the left." The side that's opposite of the Uniparty. Those are the independents.
Where would you be? Would you be here whining and crying because you're getting what you voted for?
Pal, you just haven't woken up yet. You sound like I sounded 20 years ago. WAKE UP.
bump to that
