Wow, we are suddenly so popular!
And no there was no talk of smiting. But Jerry liked to win. I am told by a friend who was in the room that he once told a group of young pastor wannabes he believed in “squishing” his enemies. Having known him personally, I interpret that not in the sense of doing them personal harm, but only in the sense of utterly defeating the enemies of the Gospel. Take no prisoners. That’s why he started the law school. I am a graduate of the inaugural class. He made us promise to do everything we could to help the good guys win (not a verbatim quote). Nothing wrong with that.
And yep, a walkout on Jeb would be faaantastic! But there’s a fair chunk of younger students there who are not going to know about any of Jeb’s problems with conservatism. There ought to be an organized effort to spread the word within the student body. I’d love to see a walkout. But it would have to be massive to be visually effective. That’s a big auditorium.
Peace,
SR
Maybe have some students with Ted Cruz shirts in the audience?
