I haven’t taken a college course in quite some time.... But I never recalled being able to call the professor for help during the exam... Is this something new? If it's been a long time for you, as it has for me, might the difference be that students all have cell phones now?
As far as her thinking it was OK to call the prof during the exam... I don't get that at all, it must be a "millennial" thing.

I’m not allowed to. I still have to spread out during exams. But I’m not a nursing student, so maybe they allow that?
