Secret legislation has no place in a Republic.
The Bill of Rights specifically guarantees that:
Congress shall make no law ... abridging ... the right of the People to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
How in the world do you think it's possible for us to petition for redress if we don't even know what Congress is voting on? Trying to paint conservatives with a red brush for opposing Star Chamber proceedings by our putative representatives is despicable.
I totally concur in your abhorrence of secret legislation. My comments merely had to do with slavish concerns over who is rich and who is not.
