How many times have we heard that before?
Sounds a lot like the "Club of Rome" study...They built a math model back in the sixties that proved civilization was about to collapse, no doubt about it. They had some very impressive graphics that showed the coming crash with precision. The model consisted of a batch of differential equations linked together which accounted for population growth, energy consumption, food production, &c., &c.
Very convincing, totally wrong! I have always said that anybody can draw a graph, the really hard part is making reality follow the line you've drawn on paper.
Now that I've dredged up the old study it's clear that it's the original basis for "Global Warming"! It was a crock then and still remains a crock.
