A sensible explanation of how the Confederate flag represents heritage NOT hate. And yes, prayers to the victims and the families of this act of terrorism, regardless of the SOB's motivation.

What is so hard for people to understand about that. They were not there and did not learn it in School and was not passed down to them from Family Heritage I suppose.

Historical fact shows there were Black Confederate soldiers. These brave men fought in the trenches beside their White brothers, all under the Confederate Battle Flag.


Did these Blacks know what they were fighting for? Did they read the Confederate constitution to see how pro-slavery it was...I doubt that since educating slaves was a criminal act in many Southern states.

It is nice that this group’s leader has shown more compassion and unity than Obama. Strange times we live in!
