His policies aren’t free market or laissez fair.. I mean he favors tariffs. He is waffly on planned parenthood. His immigration policy is red meat that would take longer than 40 years to implement... The guy is a huckster.

Geez, dude. Read his book, “Time To Get Tough”. He wrote it in 2011, and it’s a recipe for restoring this country that every Freeper ought to agree with.
The only free market I see is us allowing other people to freely sell stuff here. In most places we try to sell stuff there are restrictions. Where are all the jobs NAFTA and other agreements were supposed to bring us? If the promises made by the unrestricted free trade people were right, we should have more jobs than we know what to do with. In case you haven’t noticed, that is not what happened. We have lost millions of jobs to other countries and our workforce participation is at record low levels. Maybe tariffs, especially to force other countries to play fair, would not be a bad thing.
