I so love that guy. He turned me on to baseball back in the days of Spahn, Maloney, Aaron, Mays, Moon, the Davises, Wills, Koufax, Drysdale, Podres, Howard, Ashburn, Robinson (Frank), Kluszeweski, Roseboro, Snider, Marichal, Musial, Gibson (Bob), Clemente, Burgess, Stuart, Mazeroski, Torre, Adcock, and a host of other first-rate, All-American ballplayers.
He was on 50,000 watt KFI and I could get him at night all the way over in Eastern Arizona, clear as you please.
My life has been very full of baseball ever since.

I remember driving across Washington the year of the World’s Fair, with their Space Needle. From east to west.

I was an adolescent baseball nut, and we heard Dodger baseball on that route.
