What Does Pope Francis PERSONALLY Think?

 To Edward Pentin

On the subject "Information Operations-Successes and Failures",
here is Robert R. Reilly, former director of the Voice of America,
author of "The Closing of the Muslim Mind: How Intellectual Suicide Created the Modern Islamist Crisis" and
"Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything",
in a 25 minute YouTube video at youtube.com/watch?v=Kw_YdHJkDcs

Rules for Engaging in a war of Ideas.

Don't go into a war of ideas unless:

 1) You understand the ideas with which you are at war.
 2) You [yourself] have an idea.
 3) Wars of ideas are fought by people who think.
 4) People who don't think are influenced by people who do.

It seems to be predicated upon the assertion, advanced by Hilaire Belloc, "ideas matter".

 What are Pope Franics' ideas?

A Lifesite News article asks "Why would the pope personally invite a dissident cardinal embroiled in a sex abuse scandal to the Synod?"

It leads to a reasonable and reachable goal, "Ask Pope Francis what he has in mind".

His Holiness may have incompletely worked out ideas on a number of issues, but we probably shouldn't conclude that he is devious.

If His Holiness were asked directly, "What do you PERSONALLY think about… (communion for the divorced & remarried, and equating same-sex unions with marriage)", wouldn't he answer directly, and wouldn't such a subject be newsworthy?

The Catholic Church has been around for 2000 years. He could very well being playing a different game than anyone else ever does with faith that God will preserve the Church come what may.

You understand the ideas with which you are at war.

Do you understand (or even know) the ideas in Pope Francis' head? Given the frequency with which he discusses the devil, I suspect the problem is that Francis talks differently from how most people talk and so it is difficult to figure out what is going on.

Thank you for your message. It’s a question many would like to ask the Pope, but his approach throughout the process is to stand above the fray and not reveal his own ideas so issues can be fully discussed. Whatever the merits of this, unfortunately it’s led to some naturally speculating about his position. I would very much like to interview him, but he won’t speak to me or others like me.

Pope Che makes me miss JP2.

One Pope helped destroy communism. The other embraces it.

One Pope helped destroy communism. The other embraces it.

It may be a distinction without a difference, but I'd argue Pope Francis embraces Fascism, not Communism. He's not channeling Karl Marx, he's channeling Benito Mussolini.

He and Obama have at least one thing in common: they were each selected to check a demographic box (Obama first black; Bergolio first South American). It's a mistake neither the Church nor the USA should make again.
