God does not like to be used by liberals as a crutch when the only time they seriously use His name is to swear at their enemies, usually actual believers in God.
Bloomberg’s ultimate strategy is to have Islamic hoards make their impact on Christianity. To him, Christians are as much infidels to his atheism as they are to the Muslim. Let the Muslims take out the Christians in our country through the mechanism of our courts.

Not the same. Christ asks us as INDIVIDUALS to do these things, not as a collective. The benefits are not material; it is what we learn by the act of giving with our heart things that we value to help others, and the graces granted us by God. It is also what the recipient learns and receives by receiving things under such conditions. Coercing everyone to give is a perverse mockery of charity.
