I’m assuming your bank cancelled the credit card that was used and issued you a new one.

I work in fraud detection for an online retailer. We see these sort of things everyday. Obviously, your credit card information has been compromised.

Someone knew your cc number and your address, also probably the ccv code. Most companies use AVS (address verification system) and they need the correct info to accept the order.

You’re probably right, Someone was going to pick up your package. There again, they know your address. When you do
place a regular order for an expensive item, always request signature required...that way the item will be received by you, a representative of you, or if you’re working, they’ll hold it at the UPS/FedEx facility and make you show ID when you pick it up.

The hassle of changing CCs and the like was kicked off during the evening.

I prefer holds and my UPS Store. I never have a package sent here. FedEX runs when no one is here normally. UPS is usually evening.

Half the time on a FedEx, the driver will call me since finding the UPS Store a block from the old one confounds their maps I guess.
