Yep -- financial and professional ruination, among other things. Good cops everywhere must really be shook up by this; their loyalties must be very torn. The thing is ... the way things are going, those good cops are going to have to decide pretty quickly when push comes to shove, which side of the river they're ultimately going to stand on -- the side with the citizens they serve, or the side with official civil servant/LEOs that blithely inflict this kind of punishment on innocent folks.
In my opinion the vast majority of LEO’s in Texas are pretty good people who try to do the job right.
I cannot assume the same for POLs. They ultimately give the orders to local LEOs. And then there is the Fed (DOJ and BATF), Headshake. What a reputation they have. The FBI is generally cleaner than the others, but the ComDems run the DOJ.
I expect a lot of grand jury “no bills”. The degree of those will determine the effect on the City of Waco and the Fed & State responsibility for the mess.
In my opinion, this mess is largely caused by a Fed driven agenda. Poor intelligence and a tragic triggering mechanism involving an undercover agent that was outed just before the shootings.
