If ISIS is destroyed, it leaves Iran and Russia in the catbird seat. Iran has sponsored at least as much terrorism as ISIS. As long as ISIS is fighting to overthrow Assad, it can’t go after Israel, and that includes its client organization, Hezbollah, which, in case you didn’t notice, did not participate in the last war Israel had with Hamas. Hezbollah was too busy in Syria supporting Assad.
What are we to do? Obama has let the situation spiral out of control, now we have the bad guys fighting each other, and in their spare time, committing acts of terrorism against civilized people.
In a perfect world, the civilized people would defend our civilization by turning Syria and Iran into radioactive glass, and driving ISIS out of Iraq, and into the newly created radioactive badlands.
But the leaders and the elites, and far to many non-elites, in the West have lost any confidence in out moral legitimacy, unlike World War II and the early days of the Cold War, when we were sure, that, as imperfect as we might be, we were the good guys.
The way to fix Syria is to kill every Muslim.
