ISIS must be wiped out like smallpox, PERIOD!

Agreed. We don’t need to defeat them on the internet.
On the other hand, we should just shut down internet service to any address in Mus-Land.
They use the internet to coordinate attacks, disseminate information to their people, order supplies and hundreds of other more mundane things. Denying them the internet would disrupt their means of command and control.

Defeating them ON the internet will be hard.
They use encryption, secret meeting places, etc.
It is much easier to just deny them access to the internet. Block their regional servers.
It is difficult to plan stuff without communications.
