All of the food that my family doesn’t finish goes either in the freezer or refrigerator, and is eaten later.

What do these jackasses want? Are we supposed to eat the freakin’ BONES, TOO?!

If only we could spread that illegal immigration contributes to climate change, since there is not a single case of a single illegal immigrant who’s carbon footprint did not increase by at least two orders of magnitude.

That's why you should get a dog.

No more wasted food.

We have been eating leftovers since Heck was a pup. Now we
do have vegetable peelings, etc. Those things go into the
compost pile here for the garden.

EPA GFY!

I don’t waste food and there is no greenhouse warming.

presumably we should keep it and eat it. Not only will this stop climate change, but a lot of folks will die of food poisoning, thus lowering the population of idiots who obey the government guidelines.

sarcasm off

My wife and I raise Angus beef cattle here in Florida. The EPA says their farts are destroying the planet.

I smile and imagine I am sticking my middle finger up in the air at the EPA every time I enjoy a big, thick, juicy rib-eye steak from one of our cows.

Take that you commie bastards!

Through the study of core samples of ice and other climate studies, we know that CO2 works in a cyclic process. Photosysthesis, CO2 is used by plant life and blue green algae (cycanobacteria). These we can call the photosynthesizers. As free oxygen is released into the atmosphere atmospheric CO2 is being depleted. If photosynthesis uses too much CO2 the Earth cools due to CO2’s reduced green house effect. As this cooling effect progresses, the Earth could get so cold that all life would no longer exist. The Earth would become frozen in ice with a high amount of atmospheric oxygen and CO2 levels so low that there would be little greenhouse effect. Luckily, this does not happen because there are what they call, methanogens which utilize the waste products and leftovers of the photosynthesizers for their metabolism and generate methane and carbon dioxide as a byproduct. They also create that organic stuff call petrochemicals. This balance between the photosynthesizers and the methanogens is the true story of the Earth’s temperature regulation.

If the Earth gets too warm, due to an increase in solar activity, the photosynthesizers kick in because increased temperatures promote their growth. As the oceans fill up with more algae and there is more plant life, more CO2 is being used. They will continue in the feast mode until they cause the Earth to chill. This reduction in temperature is not conducive to the photosynthesizers. Their growth will slow and reach that equilibrium when the optimum Earth’s temperature is reached. In short, we all don’t need to buy electric cars to combat global warming. We can let the photosynthesizers and the methanogens do the work for us.

There is the theory that seven hundred million years ago, Earth’s oceans were completely frozen over. Involved in this theory is the CO2 cycle, which I explained above. No rivers flowed, no rain or snow fell. Life was limited to simple plants and bacteria at the time and were severely depleted. It was because of the belching of CO2 by volcanic activity that the greenhouse effect warmed the earth. However, the CO2 was depleted again when organic life consumed the CO2 available in the atmosphere. The earth once again became a snowball. It took time, but the effect of the methanogens enabled the earth to warm enough for the photosynthesizers to reverse the warming effect of the methanogens. This cycle occurred several times until the last ice ages ended, about 565 million years ago. Since then, the earth has gone through dips and gradual warming until almost all of the ice has melted. This tells us that climate change occurs without man’s effect.

The pie chart below shows that man's contribution to the overall CO2 is quite small. What would we have to do to make a difference? Cut out all human generation of CO2? How would we keep warm, cook our food and heat water for hygiene? How would we distribute our basic needs? Here is a pie chart showing man's contribution:

Leftovers get eaten in the metmom household.

It’s one less meal for me to cook for anyone.

They don’t get thrown out. Not with the time and money invested in making the meal.

The EPA is full of it.

This finally explains it. I never could understand the methane oceans on Saturn’s moons, since I knew there were no dinosaurs there to make the “fossil fuels”. Now I see that it’s the leftover baked squash that nobody eats.

To quote John Stossel, a government that can control what you eat can control who you have sex with.
Liberals, beware, or else your sexual freedom while telling others what to eat means conservatives can control who you &?@!.

"The EPA says Americans should think about how much food they waste during the holiday season if they want to help save the planet."

If the EPA wanted to do something for the environment they could outlaw disposable diapers...
