supposedly a black bear will test a person- IF it decides not to run OR attack, that is- it will slowly walk towards the person, testing to see what kind of reaction it will get- Slowly backing away and picking up things to throw usually is enough to make the bear back down- but don’t bend down to get rock if bear is too close- Can’t find the video I wanted on this- but here’s a similar one- only the fella didn’t htrow a rock and scare the bear off like the other video I saw at one time

I watched that first video and noticed the bear was semi-confrontational. He was driving those joggers back out of his territory. Notice he “scent marked” the trees on the boundary before retreating.
