IRS Scandal: It's The Tax Collector's Turn To Be A Defendant
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 01/14/16 | IBD Editorial Staff

Justice: It's not often that the victims of IRS abuse find satisfaction, but the Tea Party groups mistreated by the tax collector will get a shot. Maybe next will be an audit of the IRS — which apparently hasn't changed its ways.

On Tuesday, Day 978 of the unresolved IRS scandal, a federal judge granted class-action status to as many as 300 conservative groups that have been affected by the agency's practice of unduly scrutinizing small-government organizations that sought tax-exempt status but which the IRS saw as dangerous dissidents.

U.S. District Court Judge Susan Dlott's ruling also opens the door for other groups who believe they have been harmed by the IRS to join the suit. We hope the piling on is heavy.

I am sure certain judges and lawyers will shortly be presented with their audit notices...

Lois Lehrner is the turd in the punch bowl.

And we pay for the punch and the bowl.

She is the worst form of public servant.

Entitled idiot. Democrat weasel.

And now we pay for the turd's pension.

Arrest her and charge her and defund her!

Until actions have appropriate reactions, LL and her ilk will not change.

There is no fear in government of breaking the law.

Lois Lerner and Hillary on Benghazi will not be prosecuted because they were acting on behalf of McCain, McConell, Boehner, et al, and not just for Democrats.

I see the issue as this. IRS audited conservative groups, groups sue and win. Taxpayer pays for it, yet the people who perpetuated this go scott free.

What’s the incentive not to do something like this?

I was just thinking that too EQAndyBuzz.

Somehow or someway we need to punish the individuals who perpetrated these crimes.

Take away pension. That alone would do a lot.

These criminals must have SOME reason not to behave like they do.

Lois Lehrner is the turd in the punch bowl.

Time to shine a light on her husband, Michael Miles.

Before joining Sutherland, Michael served as an attorney in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He has more than 30 years of experience in handling federal tax controversies, first for the IRS and now for the firm's corporate and individual clients, as well as substantial experience in obtaining rulings for clients on corporate tax and other matters and in practicing before the IRS.

Interesting how so many professional women in DC keep their maiden names, thereby obfuscating the conflicts of interest that are routine inside the Beltway.

I wonder how many times Lois greased the skids for her hubby?
