Now there's a strong argument.
What do POTUS’s Romney and McCain have to say about this?
A great article!!!
I think what I said flew right over your head.
That’s OK. One day you’ll figure it out. Or not.
I am standing in a window on the 85th floor of the burning WTC on 9/11. If I stay in the building I will certainly die from the intense heat and toxic smoke (staying put = "the business as usual" Democrats). If I jump I will escape the smoke and heat but surely die when I hit the pavement (jumping = "follow us because we're not Democrat" Republicans). The net result is the same in both cases: the end of life (the end of something good, the end of America).
Now someone on the ground pulls a stack of fifteen mattresses onto the sidewalk beneath my window. I am unsure if those mattresses have what it takes to save my life, but I am sure as heck going to give them a shot and aim for that pile. The pile of mattresses represents Donald Trump.
Go ahead, poke fun at some of the references; this little story, however, best describes about how I feel re: Donald Trump as president.
No
your comment did not fly over my head
From you first post :
At least, what he says he’s for.
My comment was intended only to add emphasis to this by reminding people
that Trump or anyone can make promises or claims but carrying through is a whole nother thing.
In short I was not demeaning you in any way or saying anything negative at all (which is de rigueur these days)
I am sorry my comment flew right over your head.
Im for chesley having a life in Utopia
please consider a vote for me
I apologize if I misjudged you, but it still seems a little snarky, not to say personal, to me. Still sarcasm, irony, and such can escape the best of us sometimes, so I accept your explanation
I think Im also “naturally snarky” but try to keep myself in check
Me, too :)
I think you have described the feelings of many Americans very well. Both parties have had a hand in corrupting Washington D.C. to the point no one trusts either party. Mr. Trump may not be the perfect conservative, but it really doesn’t matter. He is the only one who might be able to start cleaning the mess we are in up. If he fails, or is playing us for fools, what have we lost? We know the other alternatives will not do a damn thing because they haven’t done a damn thing but lie to us to get elected then go right back to destroying our country .
The Washington D.C. Establishment just refuses to acknowledge the truth everyone else can plainly see.
We cant trust them anymore, no matter what they say or promise. They burned our trust and patience down until nothing but ash is left. Now its their turn to feel the fire.
I will not make fun of your analogy. It is precisely why Trump is doing so well
PFL
Thanks for sharpening the metaphor even more.
