Rollerball is an AWESOME movie. James Caan’s two great roles were Jonathan E. in Rollerball, and Sonny Corleone in Godfather I. Everything else he’s done is at best second rate, IMHO.
There was a remake of Rollerball in the last decade. It is awful. I turned it off after about 15 minutes. No resemblance to the original except that skates were present in both movies.
If you have not seen Misery (directed by Rob Reiner, I know) then you should. A thoroughly good film.
