I saw the skit but did not feel it was mocking his daughter and did not feel anything unnatural was implied. At the same time I agree with you that this was not necessary, that children and spouses should be left out of it.

Chelsea did get rough treatment a couple of times while in the White House. I recall one time when she was described as ugly or something similar by one media person.
