Judging from my fellow Tea partiers on FR and group I belong to, the “Ted Cruz or I’ll stay home and not vote” attitude has turned me off of the tea party, and the word “conservative” in general, due to it constantly being shoved in my face repeatedly the past few months.

This is ignorant. Trump said nothing, direct or implied, about the Tea Party.

Republicans and conservatives haven't changed $H!T for some time, now, partly because of Bohner, Ryan, and McConnell have assured that.

Trump is completely right.

“Remember, it was the Republican Party, with the help of Conservatives, that made so many promises to their base, BUT DIDN’T KEEP THEM!”

Which is true.

And as usual, once the retards take it through their filter:

“Trump says Tea Party is irrelevant”

Now an actual quote:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/10/12/donald-trump-defends-tea-party-left-leaning-crowd-love-tea-party/

“I love the Tea Party,” Trump responded when an audience member asked about his thoughts on the Tea Party and the House Freedom Caucus, as well as the possibility of a government shutdown over defunding Planned Parenthood.”

Can’t get much more of a misleading headline. Dirty tricks again.

They are. “Taxed enough already”, sounds like a slogan a bunch of gray haired old ladies would come up with. How about “Flooded with Third Worlder already”, or “Send the Jobs overseas and we will hang you already”.

“Remember, it was the Republican Party, with the help of Conservatives, that made so many promises to their base, BUT DIDN’T KEEP THEM! Hi DT (February 11, 2016, 10:14 am)”

This is a slam of the Tea Party? It’s a slam against RINO establishment.

Tea party supports Trump.

“Tea Party support: Trump 45, Cruz 31”

He’s 100% right. Some of us remember the Tea Party’s birth, remember the lopsided Santelli Liesmam battles.

The Tea Party started out as a rant againt bailing out Freddie and Fannie. That protest failed. So did every subsequent stand of the Tea Party. How did the budget process go this year under TP favorite Ryan?

My older brother belongs to a ‘tea Party’ group, they are as Revolutionaries as girl scouts, half would back Kasich if he were the nominee.

Paul “Fund Planned Parenthood” Ryan

Scott “Playboy” Brown

Marco “Amnesty” Rubio

Christine “I am not a witch” O’Donnell

I can see why Trump might raise an eyebrow at some tea party candidates.

He wasn’t talking about the folks who follow tea party thinking, but about the party as an effective organization to take on the establishment

There is a lot of the raw energy that galvanized into the Tea Party that is now rooting for Trump to do what the party organization hasn’t done

Take down the establishment by not submitting to their tactics

Do you ever expect to see an electable third party on a national election ballot? The tea party has had a chance to do that and has instead become a goad to the GOP
And look what Trump has revealed about the depth of the rot in the GOP

I recommend Cleta Mitchell's chapter in Liberty's Nemesis, a book just published, put together by Dean Reuter and John Yoo, on the unchecked expansion of the state.

Mitchell's chapter is titled "Scandal at the IRS."

Trump is correct if he said the Tea Party is irrelevant. It is now. Obama has so far succeeded. This is one of the most shocking and grotesque actions of our federal government ever.

Unfortunately the Tea Party is irrelevant...

How many TP candidates have they elected who stayed on the Conservative course ???

Rubio was a TP candidate wasn’t he ???

and there were others...

so many times moderates have fooled the TP into supporting them for high office and then turned and did whatever their actual political calling bid them do...

Trump is right, if the Tea Party had any power they should have ruled the offices by now...

however the political landscape remains much as it has always been...and worse...

Conservatives must learn to truly vet the people they put in power over their groups and thus the people they offer as candidates...

each new Conservative group starts out birthed by people with honest Conservative hearts and soon a Pied Piper appears on the horizon and the duped members hang their star on the shoulders of a Karl Rove type and cheer as they are led away with a chameleon candidate of the new leaders choosing...

and are stupidly surprised when the erstwhile unknown and new elected congressman etc supports AMNESTY or grabbing guns or TPP instead of Conservative causes..

all the while hiding behind the old worn out mantra, but I’m pro-life...

How often has an abortion issue come up for a vote lately ???

but AMNESTY etc have and the TP candidates have fallen down on the side of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi thus Obama instead of the wishes of Conservative Americans...

I’ve lately given up on the tears of disillusionment of confused and saddened Christians and Conservatives...

Don’t come to me for pity any more...

Flame away in your madness and political hell...

All too often GOP candidates run as TP conservatives, but turn out to be anything but.

I would expect that from a Planned Parenthood-loving moderate, so this does not surprise me.
