Even if trump gets two terms (and he is not young), and even if he is successful, I’m not certain that even eight years would be long enough to purge the US government of the cancerous rot that permeates it.
There was a program here several years ago to get poor battered women phones so that they could call 911 in an emergency (even disconnected phones have to respond to 911, that is the law). I thought that this was a good idea.
I told the lady who was collecting them at work that women of my ethnicity are rarely domestic violence victims and never victims of domestic violence more than one time - because generally, their husbands do not wake up the next morning, at least not intact.
