OREGON STANDOFF: LaVoy Killer Shield Law Stalled, Not Guilty Pleas From Chained Defendants....

"He didn't even carry a gun the entire time" Lisa Bundy talks about her husband Ammon, charged in the Oregon protest.

In was one month ago today (January 26th) that LaVoy Finicum was shot and killed.

The proposal to allow a judge to withhold the name of the Oregon State Police officer who killed LaVoy Finicum during the FBI led operation last month is stalled in Oregon's State Senate.

"Oregon Live" reports that its likely the bill won't clear the Senate before its current session ends.

"It's a complicated issue, and there's not a lot of time" is the quote published from Senate President Pro Tem Diane Rosenbaum (D-Portland).

While the bill now stuck in the Senate Rules Committee only includes a 90 day ban, its reported opposition to the bill has built up from "civil liberties and advocates and media groups."

Black Lives Matter in Portland had come out in opposition to the bill when it was in the House.

It appears that grassroots Democrats are putting pressure on their legislators who dominate Oregon's legislature causing some second thoughts about the 90 day ban.

The investigation into LaVoy Finicum's killing is being conducted by a team from Deschutes County, Oregon (Bend, Oregon area) and was reported last month to be taking four to six weeks to complete.

On Wednesday, ten defendants appeared in a federal courtroom in Portland, shackled in chains. Defendant David Fry quoted by "Oregon Live" as saying: "Its weird-innocent until proven guilty-shackled up."

Federal prosecutors told District Judge Anna Brown they plan a 'superseding indictment' from a grand jury by early April to put all 25 defendants under a single indictment, instead of separate ones.

They also spoke of second superseding indictment in 90 days (more people to be charged?).

Judge Brown was quoted by "Oregon Live" as being upset saying she wants a quick trial and wants the prosecutors to bring the charges sooner.

Ammon Bundy and the other nine defendants all pled 'not guilty' to the charges against them.

Ammon Bundy's wife Lisa joined defense lawyers at the protest site yesterday, but was denied admission by federal authorities. She told "The Voice of Idaho" in video posted last night it was agreed earlieroyhat she would be allowed in to pick up belongings of her family and those of LaVoy Finicum.

The defense lawyers are being allowed to tour the wildlife refuge buildings under FBI supervision.

Lisa Bundy said this about the protest her husband led and is charged for:

"It all started because we cared about our friends, the Hammonds, and you know we didn't use the lethal force. My husband didn't even carry a gun the entire time....He didn't even have a gun and they're saying that you know he's being charged with lethal force or whatever kind of force, carrying a gun and I'm like he didn't even carry a gun the entire time....."

So there you have it, the leader of the 'armed militia' protest in Oregon, the leader of the 'militants' at the wildlife refuge didn't even carry a gun the entire time.

It was Ammon Bundy who said something to the media early on in the protest making a comparison of his actions to those of Rosa Parks in Alabama in 1955?

I never saw Ammon Bundy with a gun and when those Pacific Patriot Network-Idaho III Percent folks drove up in tactical gear with long guns, Bundy asked them to leave.

The media-government narrative falls apart when it comes to Ammon Bundy. How will it fall apart as the case moves forward against the defendants into their trials?

“How will it fall apart as the case moves forward against the defendants into their trials?”

It wont fall apart. They will be prosecuted to the fullest
extent and the government will not be held accountable for anything.

Obama will go before the people and will say this is what
happens to people who defy the dictates of our fascist
government.

You can thank the last four presidents for this.
Papa Bush, the Toon, Baby Bush and the Clown.

I would suggest it better fall apart. There will be no next time. The idiots in charge had a chance to bring this to a peaceful end, but like the idiots they are or you can substitute Government Goons if you like, chose poorly. Road block on a curve with the law enforcement folks lined up behind the blocking vehicles like bowling pins, two or three different agencies involved just so everyone gets in on the action, locked loaded and ready for what? People going to a meeting that’s what, and they blew the first stop, except for the lack of violence.

The fact that it is on film is a plus. But LE will be sticking to their story unfortunately the only thing missing from all the action is any shots fired by those going to the meeting, zip, zero, nada. That fact alone should hang the shooter.

i thought the media said it was an FBI ambush.
aside from that, if you look at the video of Le Voy MURDER you can see he was not resisting and was not a threat.
What do the autopsy results say regarding the number of and location of wounds sustained...
Notice he was SHOT IN THE BACK... murdered in cold blood....
There should be an inquiry and a trial...
IN ADDITION THE LOCAL SHERIFF SHOUDL EXPLAIN HIS INACTION AND DERELICITON OF DUTY.
In these confrontational situaions with the Feds... THE LOCAL SHERIFF IS THE ONLY CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY TO MITIGATE AND SETTLE THE SITUATION ...

When dealing with LEOs, at any level, remember their training.

How many of their training scenarios mimic the old FBI “Hogan’s Ally” (see on the Dirty Harry movies for a visual representation) where armed criminals were intermixed with harmless civilians? Walking the alley you had to make split second decisions on to draw and fire or not fire.

Where is that level of training today?

Today’s LEOs have been conditioned, by their approved training, that every time they draw their gun they must shoot. And, I am scared that this conditioning goes even deeper - every time they make a hard traffic stop they must draw their gun.

It has become a very dangerous world because all too many of our LEOs have been trained to make it so.

This is the link to the You Tube video with Lisa Bundy where she says Ammon Bundy was unarmed the whole time the protest was going on, unarmed.

The leader of the protest did not carry a gun, period.

I’m not sure what point you are trying to make. I don’t care what their armed status might have been. They were peaceful protesters and were confronted in a manner to insure their death and no one else.

Difficult to argue against your point.

The media dramatized the story with descriptions like ‘armed militia’ and the expression ‘militants’ which some media use to describe terrorists.

This video is important because of that comment and the circumstances of Lisa Bundy’s presence at the refuge Thursday.

The defense lawyers were being allowed to tour the site after the federal prosecutors had taken all the evidence out.

The federal prosecutors have been foot dragging on revealing to the defense what evidence they collected.

The judge in the case gave the prosecutors a deadline of next Thursday (March 4th) to inform defense lawyers.

Lisa Bundy was refused admission to the site by the feds when she arrived with the defense lawyers touring the site.

Because she visited the site during the protest, Lisa may have been able to have helped the defense lawyers figure out
what missing items had been taken away as evidence if she had been allowed in.
