And, he wants to import another half-million guys who will live with three other guys in an efficiency apartment so they can work for 30% of the going rate for engineers and still make enough to cover their expenses here and send money home to India or China.

If true, then this goes to show that Trump could win the general

That's what McLame supporters said.

It is also what Reagan said and did.

True - and one might conclude that the older pattern is more relevant than the more recent pattern, if one thought Trump bore any resemblance to Reagan. You might ... I don't.

re>They are both voting for Trump IN NOVEMBER!

I was registered as a Democrats in high school. Never changed as I get to vote against them twice. PA Primary's you can vote only for 1 party. They have gone a long way from JFK.

False. From https://www.tedcruz.org/cruz-immigration-plan/:

Amend the H-1B visa program to fulfill its original purpose: Work with Congress to pass reform legislation for the H-1B visa program that will:

We don’t need any new voters!

“Then why aren’t Cruz and Rubio beating him?”

Because it’s not the general election.

Trump has a long and sordid history that has only been scratched by the media.

We don't need the Dums who voted for McLame in the primaries and 0bama in the general.

Well, the proof will be in the pudding. Those Trump Democrats still have to show up in November.

So the GOPee is once again blown up by their own bomb. When the people demanded the conservative southern states have closed elections like most of the northern states, their reply was “we have to elect people who can win national elections.” They thought their rigged elections would keep conservatives from winning and allow their party owned RINOs to win. Well looks like the open primary rule has come back to bite them on their rear ends. Good!

Why have any H-1B visas?

There are lots of unemployed American engineers, most of whom could probably fill a position currently held by an H-1b with a couple of months training.

As far as the “only individuals with advanced degrees” - I’ve seen an ad for a PhD engineer, paying $40K per year. Clear H-1B bait.

Trump doesn’t need to resemble Reagan. He just needs to appeal to people in some way that they vote for him. In the general he just needs to be more sane than hillary or bernie (I believe a majority of the country is still more sane than insane)

It’s goofy to think “patterns” in politics mean much when societal times change and the people involved are different (those running and those voting)

This article presupposes that all those who changed over will change back to vote for the Dems in the General. And some may. But no one really knows.

Caucus...

People cast ballots. They just do it after either, listening to speakers, or ignoring the speakers and just voting. depends on the state. That’s just about all the mystery there is to a GOP Caucus.

In some ways it’s better because people get to listen and learn prior to voting. In some ways it’s worse because who wants to stand around for two hours before voting?

Now the democrats in Iowa use some serious peer pressure prior to voting. The only good is that they winnow the field prior to casting ballots. Very crazy system but one I’d like to watch in action.

Trump is a populist. In a state that required you to change your party affiliation, he had 46,000 register republican. This is what the GOPe has been telling us they wanted to do for years - make a big tent.

Now somebody’s gone and done it, but the problem is, it’s a different ringmaster. They would rather burn the tent down than loose control.

I have donated MANY times to Cruz during his senatorial and presidential primary run. I supported him during his pseudo filibuster.

I parted ways with him over Fast Tracking the TPP, and H1B Visa expansion plans (he since renounced the H1B visa thing - I had called his office 2-3 times and argued with them before he changed his mind). The only thing I can concluded is that exposure to the beltway NO MATTER HOW BRIEF gives you something like mad cow disease - is there something in the water?
Ted, Rubio, Romney have said WAY more harsh things about Trump than they ever said about Obama....why is that? I would have though Ted would have at least had the sense to run on issues. I would have supported him, even though we was on the wrong side on a few.....Now I have to support Trump even though he is an Ass.

The combination of H1-B Visas, Illegal Immigration and “so called Free Trade” (NAFTA, TPP, MFN) is killing our middle class, even the college educated. I have friend with 20 years experience, 2 degrees who can’t find a job now, and they have NEVER been unemployed before. In Information Technology. One example in the public eye is Disney.

We have to stop the job loss or we are dead and will drown in a mountain of debt

Thanks for the brief explanation, but I still maintain a bit of a jaundiced eye when viewing the caucus results.

Yes, the story is an attempt to show Trump is only getting support from Democrats!

There's a word for this tactic: Lying with Statistics. And, of course, it's also a smoke and mirrors trick with the facts.

I tell you what: the creativity being shown as the MSM tries to stop the Trump revolution is astounding.

Imagine if this brainpower could be redirected to rebuilding the nation instead of taking it down.

This is why Trump is so optimistic about Making America Great Again.  So many people are focused on dragging the country down, that neutralizing these people will do a world of good and America will start growing again.

GO TRUMP!  Just heard Trump for 15 minutes on the Michael Savage show. Trump is very calm, very collected. What gets the rest of us excited doesn't phase him that much because he's lived with tough opponents his entire life long.

Can't wait to see this lion of a man in the Oval Office!

Good analysis!  The switch of 46,000 in my state of Pennsylvania is incredibly good news!  People are going out of their way in big numbers to vote for Trump.

Now it's not too hard to imagine ten times that number will switch over at general election time.  So 10 x 46,000 = 460,000.

If Romney had that kind of additional votes in 2012, then Pennsylvania would have gone Republican!

So these numbers are a very good indicator of this bigger tent Trump is building.
