The MSM is doing their best to try to get liberals to stop Trump in the primaries, not support him. These are democrat voters that ill support in November.

Really really sad rationalization attempt.

Doesn’t explain Cruz being completely shut out in the South.

The fellow here is leaving out independents.
Why, I wonder?
I will take it up with him.

Strongly doubt that statistically significant numbers of Dems vote in open GOP primaries with the intent of getting the weaker nominee elected.

This is little more than stupid tinfoil conspiracy nonsense.

This is one possibility. However, I am shocked with the number of libs I know who support Trump. He must be using some Jedi mind control on them or something.

This isn’t orchestrated nor unexpected...The democrats switching parties aren’t going from democrat to republican, they’re going from democrat to Trump. I don’t know why they think this is strange? Trump isn’t a Romney effete elite... he grew up in Queens, believe me it shows. Before some of the early primaries I heard voters stating they were still choosing between Trump and Sanders.. and none of them are closet socialists. They’re the blue collar dems the republicans try to court each election cycle.

Nice pie charts, but I'd scrub out the caucuses from both sides -- because it is still a mystery to me how these caucuses work, and whether they are a fair representation of how people would have actually voted in those States if they were 'normal' primaries.
The Caucuses have always been susceptible to shenanigans (as Obama showed in 2008 in Iowa).

Claire McCaskill has publicly bragged about how she helped manipulate the outcome of the 20012 Republican primary to get the opponent she wanted (the idiotic Todd Akin). The low-key ‘RAT intervention worked and she went ahead to defeat the self-destructing Akin in the general election.

Who knows if something similar is happening now.

Or it indicates that Cruz won his home town and small dark red Western Farm Belt states and states with caucus.

In any contested state that the GOP must win in Nov, Cruz has lost.

It’s definitely happening.

The question is whether or not it is cynical. Are they sowing chaos in the GOP ranks, or are they honest-to-goodness cretins who find Trump’s politics attractive?

Operation chaos was meant to keep both Hitlery and Obama in the race so they could go at each other for the longest time possible.

Thanks to Operation Chaos Obama made it out of the primaries and was elected president, with Hitlery still hanging around for her shot after Obamas 8yrs of destruction.

I blame Limbaugh and operation chaos for Obama with the possibility of Hitlery coming in for the next 8 yrs.

Thanks Limbaugh you twit.

Democrats did the same thing with McCain and Dole. After the unwinnable GOP candidate is chosen, the Democrats switch back to DNC for the general election.

It’s more like Jeff Roe and Axiom Strategies has mastered the art of gaming the caucus format.

Florida is not an open primary. After Trump dominates tomorrow, I wonder what the next excuse will be?

If true, then this goes to show that Trump could win the general as the general population is willing to vote for him and not Cruz.

Numbers and logic are a bitch, ain’t they?

The Democrats would love for Trump to be the nominee. He has the highest unfavorable ratings ever recorded, even higher than Hillary’s.

Hey, if the Publican party wants to have loyalty oaths, all day meetings, and other distractions to keep Trump from winning the nomination go ahead.

Just remember — if they don’t want my vote they won’t get it in November.

I think Republicans, and Republicans only, should choose their nominee. I think open primaries are crazy (or worse).

It is madness to have Democrats pick the Republican nominee, especially where the nominee is only getting 35% of the popular vote.

Head to head match ups that show Republican preference between two candidates show Trump loosing.
