Even in jest you shouldn’t lend any credence to that outright lie. Trump’s positions are out there and known. Donation wise, he was doing business in NY and had to grease the appropriate wheels, making him a great candidate to actually smash all those wheels. In addition, most of the attacks against him for having “dem beliefs” circle around abortion, which he’s had a publicly evolving opinion about for 20 years, and Iraq, which he is constantly hounded about by neocons because he dares speak ill of the obviously failed Bush Doctrine. Neocons don’t hold the keys to what constitutes “conservatism”, and Trump is right to call out our nation-building adventures as complete failures.

Cruz ran his campaign as a staunch Christian. So as Christianity is much more important than politics, I say the man who would defame Christianity is far worse!
