I think Trump needs to curtail the twitter wars and only tweet out positive messages. His family is right. I think Carson is offering constructive advice.

Candidate is an aggressive user of social media

So is my granddaughter, but I wouldn't elect her president.

"Donald Trump will not shut down his 7 million follower Twitter account."

It might help. One of the things that turned me off most about Trump was when he bragged that a media critic had only fifty followers, while he had millions.

Can you just imagine the president of the US, sitting around in his pajamas (at best) at 3 o'clock in the morning looking up the followers of a Twitter critic?

While he might be more discriminating while tweeting, the Twitter account is important for direct contact without the filter offered by the media.

Trump understands that.

Trump gave to establishment Republicans running against TEA Party opponents.

But he said with his own mouth that he has supported them.

Trump understands that.

What evidence do you have that supports that conclusion?

There many reasons why he will not release his tax returns:

Trump twits like a hormonal high school girl. It is eccessive and mean. Ranting and moronic most times.
He shouldn’t shut it down, but he should tone it down.

I have seen posts and articles saying that Trump is a Hillary troll (remember, they’re good friends) and this is just a set-up to throw her the White House. I’m not saying I agree with them, but it makes more sense than “Life-long conservative Cruz has now sold out to the establishment.”

Sorry Vet, there is far more evidence of Cruz having sold out to the establishment than Trump being a Hillary troll to throw her the White House.

Neil Bush runs his finances
The Bush money is now behind him
Romney threw his support to him
The open borders/GOPe superpacs are all behind Cruz
The GOPe appears to have made a bargain with him so Trump won't win on the first ballot
Cruz is willingly accepting all this praise and money from those he has always claimed to oppose

There is more, but that's enough. He's sold out his principles for some foolish idea that the GOPe will reward him with the nomination after all this nonsense. Of course, Cruz supporters believe there are no strings attached, and that the GOPe has finally seen the light and become true conservatives.

Good luck believing that.

“...it makes more sense than “Life-long conservative Cruz has now sold out to the establishment.”

It actually makes NO sense. It’s a superficial fantasy. Yet the Cruz “sold out” charge isn’t far fetched at all, since we’ve seen it happen over and over to other “conservatives”.

The trouble is the Donald doesn't have any filters at all. Which means he comes across to 70% of the voting public as a jerk.

I stated “the Twitter account is important for direct contact without the filter offered by the media”

You stated “What evidence do you have that supports that conclusion?”

If you spend anytime watching interviews Trump discusses how important his social media account is, in fact he talks about the Twitter account being the equivalent of owning the New York Times but without the losses. Trump has made the statement numerous times. Take your pick amongst the links...

That may be.

Let’s ask Jeb! about his media strategy. Jeb!had few mishaps on social media, so maybe that’s better, except for the ineffectiveness of losing each and every primary.

Don’t ignore the fact that Trump is in the lead with a very small campaign staff, so perhaps Trump is on to something.

Proof in the pudding is in the eating.

Where more than 50% gave Obama two terms.

Cruz has no game without support from the GOP-e and the Left. Enjoy your wishful thinking and new allies on the Left.
