Here's your Hump day video, in this bloody, noisy video, a hunter records footage of a crowd of hogs feeding on bait placed literally at the base of his ladder stand. After a while, he flings a spear with a GoPro camera attached.
The spear hits a hog, which falls over as it should. But then it begins the bawling, slow-dying thrash-fest that most hog hunters have witnessed before. See the full video here.
Rambo jump with his spear...
He better not fall off the ladder.
Another of the creepy Calsport videos. Why is everything in California just a bit off?
Calsport does seem a bit off. That coyote killing video from last week was plain creepy. Almost immoral.
As an aside: my pet peeve is the editing of vids so as to make the subject (in this case the hunter) look more awesome than he really is. Folks should just let the vid speak for itself.
Use a rifle. It’s not morally good to make an animal suffer. We are not living in ancient Rome and reveling in games of death in the arena.
He stay on ladder, he hits hog with spear, he eats hog.
He fall off ladder = He become hog’s supper.
He miss hogs with spear, they keep eating, he starve to death at top of ladder waiting for hungry hogs to go away.
(Would laz hit it?)
Now that’s funny.
LOL! I thought that said, “Dog Hunting With A Spear.” ;o]
I’m with you on this one. I hunted for many years, always chose the weapon designed to quickly and certainly kill the game. I tried to honor the sporting rules, or at least my understanding of them. Spears and such seem contrived. Don’t know why anybody would ever choose such a weapon unless forced to do so. I mean, why not bash ‘em over the head with a rock if you want to go full caveman? Rifles yes, spears no.
