How are you accessing FR - Windows PC, Mac, Android?
You may have keylogger malware installed on your device which is reporting back what you’re typing including the passwords you use.
How secure is your device and Internet connection?
Are you using a wireless router / sharing it with anyone?
WPA 2 vs WEP?
VPN connection?
Are your passwords complex?

RE: Btw, I’ve posted this info on several threads. In EVERY instance, my account mysteriously logged off before I could hit the post button, and I had to try multiple times before it “took.” This is the second time tonite. I’ll try again this time.
And several days ago, when I logged on, instead of seeing “Welcome back, mumblypeg,” I was greeted with “Welcome back, An Anonymous Lurker.”
That’s not me, and there’s no FReeper account by that name.
A friend of mine had a similar experience, but not with FR. With, of all things, verizon. Logged in and was addressed by an unfamiliar user name. Reported to verizon, which shrugged it off -- they didn't know or care what happened. I was consulted -- took it to my favorite techie who said (as best I recall in my non-techie mind) that it was a hack by a shadow user, not a hack of verizon but of the individual's device, and the hacker probably has a shadow presence for every site visited. In other words your every keystroke is monitored by someone. Maybe a government spook, maybe a dark web freak; no way to know for sure, and even your internet provider doesn't give a rap.
