If right to work reforms unions and more worker focused, its a positive. But i seriously doubt that is what is going on here. I believe it is strongarm tactics on new hires to join the unions or else.

I’m wondering if perhaps membership growth in government employee unions is having some effect on these numbers.

People are job scared. Employers can be ruthless, requiring terminated employees to train their foreign replacements or lose their severance.

Sounds like an environment tailor-made for union activists to me. I spent years in the textile industry avoiding unions, so I’m no fan, just stating facts.
